Contraindications: Dragon-Pharma Proviron is contraindicated in individuals with diagnosed prostate carcinoma or benign prostatic hyperplasia with urinary obstruction, as mesterolone's androgenic activity may accelerate prostatic tissue proliferation. Hepatic impairment contraindicates use regardless of cycle history. Individuals with known hypersensitivity to any DHT-derived androgen should not use this product.
Side Effects: Androgenic side effects — including accelerated scalp hair thinning in genetically predisposed users, increased facial or body hair density, and acne on the upper back — are possible, particularly at the higher end of the mild-cycle dosing range (50 mg/day). Mesterolone does not convert to oestrogen and carries no progestogenic activity, so gynecomastia risk is not a direct concern. Elevated red blood cell count with prolonged use warrants haematological monitoring.
Monitoring: Baseline and post-PCT bloodwork should include total testosterone, free testosterone, SHBG, LH, FSH, haematocrit, and PSA (for users over 35). HPLC-verified product potency at the batch level means the dose delivered matches the label, supporting predictable monitoring outcomes. Liver enzyme panels (ALT, AST) are recommended for any user combining mesterolone with hepatotoxic compounds.
PCT: Within a mild-cycle recovery protocol, mesterolone is the androgenic support agent — it does not independently restore LH or FSH output. If significant gonadotropin suppression is detected at post-PCT bloodwork despite a mild cycle history, re-evaluate whether a SERM was adequate or whether the cycle was genuinely mild in suppression depth. Do not extend the mesterolone protocol beyond 6 weeks without updated bloodwork confirmation of ongoing need.
