Contraindications: Stazonex is contraindicated in pre-menopausal women and individuals with known hypersensitivity to anastrozole or any tablet excipient. Do not use concurrently with oestrogen-containing preparations, as these directly antagonise the mechanism of action. Individuals with severe hepatic impairment should avoid use without specialist guidance, as anastrozole undergoes significant hepatic metabolism.
Side_Effects: Reported adverse effects include reduced bone mineral density with prolonged use, joint discomfort, headache, and fatigue. Suppression of estradiol below physiological range can impair lipid profiles, libido, and mood. Monitoring serum estradiol during PCT is the primary safeguard against over-suppression — symptoms of crashed estrogen (severe joint pain, depression, erectile dysfunction) should prompt immediate dose reduction.
Monitoring: Baseline and mid-protocol serum estradiol (E2) and LH/FSH measurements are recommended. HPLC-verified tablet content means each Stazonex dose is consistent, but individual metabolic response to anastrozole varies. Renal and hepatic function should be assessed in individuals with pre-existing organ-function concerns before initiating a 6–12 week injectable-cycle PCT.
PCT: Anastrozole and tamoxifen should be used sequentially rather than simultaneously; concurrent use reduces anastrozole plasma exposure. For injectable-cycle PCT, confirm ester washout before starting Stazonex — introducing aromatase inhibition while androgens remain elevated from ester release does not accelerate HPG axis recovery and may compress the therapeutic window unnecessarily.
