Contraindications: Not suitable for individuals with prostate or breast carcinoma, pre-existing hepatic impairment, hypercalcaemia, or nephrotic syndrome. Women who are pregnant or planning pregnancy must not use this product. Individuals under 21 years of age should not use androgenic anabolic agents, as endogenous hormonal systems remain in active development.
Side Effects: Potential effects include suppression of endogenous testosterone production, alterations in serum lipid profiles (notably HDL depression), hepatic enzyme elevation (ALT/AST), and virilization in female users. Desensitization-driven dose escalation attempts increase cumulative exposure and amplify side-effect risk without restoring receptor responsiveness — dose increases past the productive phase are therefore counterproductive.
Monitoring: Conduct liver function panels (ALT, AST, GGT) at baseline and at cycle midpoint. Lipid panels including HDL, LDL, and total cholesterol should be assessed before and at cycle end. Endogenous testosterone suppression should be tracked via serum LH, FSH, and total testosterone at baseline and four weeks post-cycle. Blood pressure monitoring is recommended fortnightly.
PCT: Post-cycle therapy is recommended following cycles exceeding four weeks to support recovery of the hypothalamic-pituitary-testicular axis. Standard SERM protocols (e.g., Nolvadex or Clomid per established dosing guidelines) initiated three to five days after the final tablet are appropriate given Oxandrolone's clearance profile. PCT timing and duration should account for both hormonal recovery and the receptor re-expression window discussed above.
