Contraindications: Methandienone is contraindicated in individuals with pre-existing hepatic disease, elevated baseline liver enzymes (ALT or AST above the upper reference range before cycle start), prostate pathology, history of androgen-sensitive malignancy, or active cardiovascular disease. Women should not use this compound due to its high virilisation potential at any dose used in bulking contexts.
Side Effects: Aromatisation to estradiol produces water retention and gynecomastia risk at bulk-phase doses; androgenic effects include acne, scalp-hair thinning, and — in women — virilisation. Endogenous testosterone suppression is significant; expect measurable LH and FSH suppression within the first two weeks of use. 17α-alkylation produces dose-dependent hepatocellular enzyme elevation (ALT, AST) in the majority of users.
Monitoring: Blood work at cycle entry (baseline), at the mid-point of the oral window (week three), and within two weeks of completing the Methandienone phase is the minimum responsible monitoring schedule. Track ALT, AST, GGT, haematocrit, lipid panel, and total/free testosterone. Discontinue immediately if ALT or AST exceeds 3× upper reference range.
PCT: Post-cycle therapy timing is governed by the clearance of the longest-acting injectable compound in the bulk stack, not by Methandienone's own clearance window. SERM-based recovery using Tamoxifen or Clomiphene forms the pharmacological core; begin no later than two weeks after the final long-ester injection. Hepatoprotective supplementation (TUDCA or UDCA) during the oral phase is standard practice.
