Contraindications: Not indicated for use in individuals under 21 years of age, those with pre-existing hypogonadism, or anyone with a documented history of androgen-sensitive conditions. Women of childbearing potential should not use this compound due to androgenic activity in preclinical reproductive studies.
Side Effects: Dose-dependent testosterone suppression is the primary expected effect and should be treated as a certainty rather than a risk. Additional reported effects in research contexts include decreased HDL cholesterol, mood variability during suppression, and potential vision disturbances at higher doses. Lipid panels should be monitored alongside hormonal markers.
Monitoring: Minimum monitoring framework: LH, FSH, total testosterone, and lipid panel at baseline, mid-cycle, and post-cycle. Any LH or FSH reading at or near zero at mid-cycle warrants dose review or early cycle termination followed by a structured recovery protocol.
PCT: A SERM-based recovery protocol is mandatory following any S-23 cycle. Mini-PCT (nolvadex 20 mg/day, 3–4 weeks) is appropriate only for short, low-dose cycles where mid-cycle bloodwork shows partial rather than full gonadotropin suppression. Full PCT with extended SERM duration applies to all other scenarios. Do not rely on time-off alone as a recovery strategy.
